One day picture story ideas

I have 2 possibilities that feel strong for my 1 day picture story.

The top two photographs show John Tinker and his son Fisher. Tinker and his family live in the former Laurence J. Daly School in Fayette, Missouri, where the classrooms hold a unique collection of antiquated objects. Now following a quiet life, Tinker was once in the limelight when he took his Tinker vs. Des Moines Community School District case to the U.S. Supreme Court after being suspended for wearing a black arm band in protest of the Vietnam war. The 1969 decision is used in courts today to determine whether a school's disciplinary actions are in violation of students' First Amendment rights.
Now John Tinker is a stay-at-home dad, while working to restore the former school. His wife, Patricia, works at John's sister's doctor's office in Fayette. Passionate about authentic community and alternative living (including appropriate uses of technology), the Tinker/Fishers host Quaker meetings at the schoolhouse.

The third photograph shows Izzy Acurso, a home-schooled 14-year-old. Izzy is a stellar example of good upbringing coupled with the freedom to develop her interests as she likes. Her story appeals to me in that I am forever seeking ways to show the lives of girls. I talked with her about working on a multimedia piece and she's expressed excitement about the idea.
